MyWiFiEXT Login – mywifiext.net: Every router comes with an embedded configuration tool also known as the admin setup panel. This setup panel is absolutely necessary in case you are installing your router for the very first time. Mywifiext.net is another way of setting up your modem or router. It contains all of the useful information that is required to map your router/modem to your network. There are tons of router brands and every brand has its own proprietary IP address (also known as the default gateway).
In case you also want to know your default gateway, open CMD and type ipconfig.
The default IP address is unique for every router. However, the most common IP is 192.168.1.1 (or 192.168.0.1) and you can check the same by opening CMD and typing:
- PING 192.168.1.1
- PING 192.168.0.1
In case the mentioned address is correct then the console will reply in an affirmative. Anyway, here are some of the things that you can do with mywifiext.net panel:
- Setting up your WiFi password – A good WiFi connection should be strong enough to be impenetrable by unwanted users. Thus, you can use the [alphanumeric + special character] combination to set up your security password.
- Setting up your WiFi SSID – SSID refers to the connection name that will be visible publicly. You can set the WiFi name (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz) using the same.
- Enabling guest mode on WiFi – In case you want to provide limited (secured) access to outside users then you can always enable guest mode on your router using mywifiext.net.
- Other configurations – You can also perform some other configurations like enabling QoS scheduling, adding your router to a mesh connection, upgrading firmware and more.
